Tree Operations & Tree Maintenance Manager
£48,110.93 per annum
Medway Norse have an exciting opportunity for a Tree Operations & Tree Maintenance Manager to lead the tree and traffic management service across the business. This will include delivering tree works, installation of new horticultural schemes, grounds and winter maintenance operations.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical advice, reports and investigations regarding arboriculture, horticultural / landscape concerns.
- Reviewing the tree strategy and assisting the council in developing relevant policies.
- Undertaking investigations, completion of associated reports - such as Accident / Insurance & Corporate Complaints.
- Ensuring landscaping meets the correct planting specification and suitable adoption of New development sites.
- Preparing tenders and specifications as required.
- Leading response to emergencies and issuing relevant tree works, this will involve out of hours services and may require attendance on site.
- Ensuring the delivery of the tree maintenance contract to specification standards and client expectation, monitor contract delivery and quality standards.
Preferred Skills
Our Successful Candidate:
You will have extensive, previous experience in a similar Tree Operations &/or Maintenance role, alongside:
- Significant experience in Arboriculture/ Landscape Management.
- Supervisory or line management experience.
- Qualifications including Level 4 or equivalent in Arboriculture/ Horticulture, Sector Scheme. 12A/B Operative Card and Lantra 12D M1/M2/M5 & M62.
- Health & Safety Management – Understanding/ able to write risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written confident giving instruction and direction effectively and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your own workload, meeting strict deadlines.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate empower and manage a team.
