Vegetation Management: our team will ensure the safety and reliability of vegetation for your utility infrastructure.

Emergency Response: minimise downtime for your utility infrastructure with rapid, effective response to tree-related emergencies.

Our main clients are National Grid and UK Power Networks of whom we have been a trusted arborist contractor for residential, commercial, and utility needs across Suffolk, Essex & Norfolk for over 12 years.

The Role:

The position shall have individuals who are comfortable working independently, demonstrating motivation and drive. The main duties of a Surveyor are below:

• Proficiency in Word and Excel and the ability to operate software systems on tablet devices in the field.
• Extensive knowledge of tree identification and characteristics.
• First Aid Certification With +F
• Hold UA Certifications: 301,302, 401, 402.
• Full UK Driving Licence in order to drive to remote sites for land access consents.
• Be able to read maps and navigate to specific locations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate with management team
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Use initiative to overcome problems or difficulties.
• Follow instructions from management.
• Commitment to personal development, training, and learning new skills.
• Experience and knowledge of strict Health & Safety operations and practical implications.
• Practical experience with Overhead Line Vegetation Clearance up to 400KV, including knowledge of all aspects of vegetation clearance and relevant codes of practice.
• Professional Tree Inspection and ability to identify all types of trees.
• Be able to follow instructions and input the correct information from sites onto consent forms.
• Manual Handling Certification requirement
• Work to a level where specific targets are met weekly and monthly (surveying a prescriptive number of spans in a month)

Premier Tree Care established in 2015 based around Ipswich, Suffolk. Spent  the last 9 years sub contracting to many established Utility Arboriculture companies in the East Anglia region. Working on all voltages from LV to 400kv.

Premier Tree Care recently were successfully awarded a large long term contract behalf of UK Power Networks. Carrying out 11kv and LV tree maintenance and clearance work in the Ipswich and Colchester areas. Covering routine maintenance work, Live and dead works, reactive work, fault work.

Premier Tree Care also have a long term contact in place with OCS group covering the National Grid network around the Ipswich and Colchester areas.
