Grounds person vacancy - Orange - New South Wales

The Groundsperson Tree Crew is responsible for assisting the Tree Crew Leader with tree removals and maintenance.  Inherent in this position is the ability to do bending and heavy lifting of goods, safely handle organic and chemical pesticides and sprays, undertake maintenance of machinery and equipment, and legally operate a motor vehicle. These are regular routine tasks essential to the efficient and effective management of the role.  

The Groundsperson Tree Crew is responsible for assisting in the completion of activities of the designated Tree Crew on behalf of TC.  They are responsible for assisting in the mobilisation of vehicles, crew and equipment, paperwork, reporting, safety and compliance on site.

This role may also involve working as part of the Grounds Crew on occasion, in the same way that the Grounds Crew may sometimes form part of the Tree Crew.

This position is based out of 8 Cameron Place, Orange, NSW, with job sites located across the Central West of NSW.

Preferred Skills

Minimum Job Requirements

• A minimum 2 years’ grounds experience (as part of a tree crew is preferred)
• White card
• Chainsaw ticket (or willingness to obtain one)
• Tree felling experience (preferred)
• Experience working with ropes, lowering, rigging, tying knots etc (preferred)
• ChemCert (or equivalent)
• First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Current driver’s licence (MR preferred or willingness to obtain it (not L’s))
