Driftwood Tree Services is a family-run arborist business that operates in the stunning East Kimberley region of Western Australia. We are looking two (2) Arborists to join our expanding team.

Location: Kununurra, Western Australia

Job Tasks include:

• Advising on species selection, site planning and overall tree management and care.
• Examining individual trees to assess their condition, potential risks associated with limbs or trees falling and determine treatment.
• Climbing trees using ropes and harnesses and elevated work platforms to reach limbs and branches.
• Maintaining and caring for trees and shrubs by pruning limbs and shaping branches using chain and hand saws.
• Removing dead and decaying trees, and grinding out tree stumps.
• Clearing trees from overhead electricity and telecommunication lines.

Preferred Skills

Essential Requirements:

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Arboriculture

OR:

- AQF Certificate III in Arboriculture

OR:

- Atleast three years of relevant experience in a similar role (ANZCO Skill Level 2)

• Ability to work in warm and humid conditions
• Ability to work as a leader and as a member of the team
• Sound communication skills
• Sound interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel and spend multiple nights away from home

Desirable Requirements:

• Truck licence (MR or HR)
• White card
• High-risk work licence (EWP)
• Chainsaw ticket
• Current first aid and CP

The Team at Driftwood Tree Services regularly travel to remote locations as far as Kalumburu at the northern tip of WA and to communities hundreds of kilometres south along the Duncan and Tanami Roads.
