This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader who is an Arboricultural Association approved contractor providing professional services to private and public sector businesses.
We have long term arboriculture contracts throughout the south west. This is an exciting opening for an Assistant Manager to increase the size of the business and oversee our contracts in and around Bristol, North Somerset, South Wales and Gloucestershire. The focus will be to continue to grow and develop the business in these areas by concentrating on amenity arboriculture, highways safety and Ash Dieback opportunities. This will be in conjunction with the Contracts Manager and support from the Area Management Team.
Based at our office near Bristol Airport, the successful candidate will be hands on and responsible for the operational day to day planning for our Arboricultural and subcontract teams to ensure high levels of professionalism, performance, productivity and skill development. They should also be able to demonstrate and have an understanding of current health and safety practices, particularly in regards to Arboriculture and have a great understanding of estimating productivity and tree work.
Glendale operate a successful Management Development Programme to support entry level applicants with models developed to support individuals leading to a level 4 qualification in leadership, management or arboriculture.
This is an outstanding opportunity to develop an enthusiastic and committed candidate seeking to progress a career in management with the UK green sector.
You will be qualified or experienced in arboriculture with the necessary experience as a working arborist, be able to show evidence of delivering well organised, professional arboricultural projects, technical sites or some management experience on similar contracts, hold a full UK drivers licence and live within 45 mins of Brockley. Above all, energy and enthusiasm to a key component of the role.
