We are seeking an enthusiastic arboriculturist to join our survey team, which prides itself on excellent attention to detail and the preparation of the very best arboricultural evidence. The role of surveyor opens a pathway for career progression within the business, facilitated by a commitment to training, internal mentoring, and shared passion for what we do.
You will be working as part of team and independently, undertaking tree risk management surveys, BS5837:2012 surveys and ground investigations to inform a range of objectives. You will be applying your professional judgement, knowledge of tree biology and skills to undertake surveys from ground level and at height. You will be responsible for identifying and diagnosing potential problems, enabling you to recommend and prioritise appropriate treatments, relying on the use of the very latest specialist decay investigation and monitoring techniques. Your findings and recommendations will be captured using our on-site data management system
You will have at least a level 3 qualification in Arboriculture; for example National Diploma in Arboriculture, an AA Tech Certificate; or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of working knowledge of tree risk assessment and legislation and general arboricultural practice.
Excellent species identification and demonstrable knowledge of common pests and diseases
Good attention to detail
Full UK Driving Licence
An understanding of Tree Preservation Orders and Legislation
Ability to plan and prioritise your work, relative to deadlines and project brief
Experience in specifying tree works to BS3998:2010
Ideally, you will have a Level 5 qualification in arboriculture, for example a Foundation Degree or equivalent.
Lantra Professional Tree Inspection certification
Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (CS38)
Prior experience of undertaking tree surveys and inspections
Confident oral and written communication skills
Readiness to work with portable handheld technology
GIS and CAD experience, however inhouse training will be provided
Familiarity with statutory tree protection and the planning system
Experience operating Ezytreev
