Highly qualified teams of garden designers, garden landscapers and foresters are also resident here and offer the full range of garden services from woodland management to garden design and maintenance.

Nicholsons Forestry Division offers a complete woodland and tree management service, providing straightforward but bespoke support to landowners in the areas of woodland management, arboriculture and tree surgery.
We operate as consultants or contractors or as a combination of the two.
About the jobAt Nicholsons, we currently have a vacancy for a full-time arboricultural team leader with a minimum of five years’ experience in the industry. The position would suit a highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic individual looking to develop a career in arboriculture.
Applicants need to have the ability to manage and organise a team of up to five members of staff at any one time and would need to be comfortable communicating with clients and ensure a high standard of professionalism is always maintained.
Hours of work are 7.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Nicholsons offers a competitive rate of pay, dependent on experience and qualifications, all PPE equipment and is pro-active in providing additional training to aid career progression. Benefits include pension, 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 26 days after 2 years, holiday cabins in Wales and Scotland for staff to use.
Preferred SkillsIdeally applicants will have a minimum of 5 years in the industry, relevant NPTC qualifications (i.e: CS 30, 31,32, 38, and 39), be able to demonstrate safe and competent climbing and working practices, have a certificate of competence in Brushwood Chipper Operations and must have a full UK driving licence, ideally with towing licence B+E. Post holders must be physically fit, as the role regularly requires physical work, and must be comfortable working outside in all conditions.
