Arborist Climber / Tree Surgeon (Team Leader) Wanted - Wolverhampton

About the job

The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Arborist to join our team, we are also looking for an experienced Arborist (Ground or Aerial) to take a Team Leader position.

In this role, you will handle various tree surgery operations including crown management, dismantling and aerial rigging.  There are also days when you may be hedge-trimming or general vegetation management.  We don’t typically carry out highway, rail or utilities work so there is no mile after mile of repetitive work – most days are varied and different with plenty of opportunity to use your skills and initiative to complete a job safely and to gain experience in a wide range of tree operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform both aerial and ground-based tree work to a high standard
• Safely operate chainsaws, trimmers and machinery, including chippers and stump grinders.
• Work primarily on commercial sites, with occasional domestic work.
• Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition.
• Collaborate with a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Represent the company to the highest standards providing a professional image by following our policies and guidance.
• (For Team Leader Role) Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team, follow work specifications. 
• To ensure paperwork and processes are completed accurately including final site inspection and completion photos.

Salary Range:

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience - from £28k (newly qualified, no experience) to £40k for qualified and experienced Team Leader

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• NPTC 003920 (CS30) – Chainsaw Crosscut & Maintenance
• NPTC 003921 (CS31) – Felling Trees up to 380mm
• NPTC 003922 (CS38) – Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue
• NPTC 003923 (CS39) – Chainsaw from Rope & Harness
• Full UK Driving Licence – aged over 25 for Insurance purposes

 Desirable:

• Any additional NPTC Chainsaw based units
• PA1, PA6 – Application of Herbicides
• CSCS – Construction skilled operator card (Blue)
• Any other relevant skills or knowledge qualifications
