Tree Surveyor Jobs Banbury Headquarters (with home working), Midlands (United Kingdom) Full Time£26,000 - £40,000 (GBP)

About the job

You will be working as part of team and independently, undertaking tree risk management surveys, BS5837:2012 surveys, woodland surveys and ground investigations to inform a range of projects.  You will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed work, using the very latest guidance together with specialist equipment and techniques for which training will be provided. Your findings and recommendations will be captured using our on-site data management system.

Preferred Skills

In addition to a full UK driving licence, it would be preferable to have relevant industry experience and level 3 qualification.

  • Confident tree species identification and demonstrable knowledge of common tree pests and diseases;
  • Proven attention to detail;
  • A working understanding of Tree Preservation Orders and procedure;
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your work, relative to live deadlines and project briefs;
  • Experience in specifying tree works to BS3998:2010.

We would especially be interested in candidates who hold the following skills and qualifications:

  • Level 5 qualification in arboriculture, for example a Foundation Degree or equivalent;
  • Lantra Professional Tree Inspection certification;
  • Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (CS38);
  • Prior experience of undertaking tree surveys and inspections;
  • Confident oral and written communication skills;
  • Readiness to work with portable handheld technology;
  • GIS and CAD experience, however inhouse training will be provided;
  • Familiarity with statutory tree protection and the planning system;
  • Experience operating Ezytreev.
