Arborist Team Leader - Chipping Norton

About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated tree climber who would like to take the role as a team leader. 

Previous experience of leading would be beneficial but not essential as good attitude and willingness to listen and improve is more important. 

We love arboriculture and life outdoors and want to educate people in an exciting career in arboriculture, trees and timber. 

Skills required: 

TEAM Player - Things working better together.

LEADER - Lead by example understanding systems of work and be active in seeking improvements.

COMPETENT - Tree climb, prune, dismantle at a commercial rate with high quality.

CONSISTENT - Look to work by systems and consistently suggest improvements.

SAFE - Work safely and respect compliance and its importance.

COMMUNICATION - You must be able to talk and enjoy solving peoples problems and add value to their day.

ACCOUNTABLE - It’s your show and sometimes things don’t go so well. We totally understand but just want you to help make things better next time. “What is an excellent day?…. Can you help make your teams days be excellent”

Responsibilities ….. Ensure tree work is undertaken to a high level of craftsmanship Ensure compliance systems are adhered to and be pro-active helping to improve them.

Keep a team bonded and motivated and consider your job a success when the team succeed. Undertake and instruct others to maintain a variety of equipment.

A keen interest in trees and good understanding of arboricultural operations is essential.

• Academic tree qualification (Preferred not essential if you can hold your own at interview)
