Job description

Due to increased workload we now wish to recruit an experienced Arboriculturist to join our team to work alongside our Senior Consultant.

The duties include - undertaking BS5837:2012 compliant surveys and producing written reports - to include Tree Constraints Plans, Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Tree Protection Plans, Arboricultural Method Statements and Mortgage Reports. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of BS5837:2012 and the planning system, and be competent in tree hazard assessment and proficient in the use of tree risk assessment methodologies.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in report writing. You must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a small team. Experience in using computer software, particularly Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, is essential.

A qualification to QCF Level 4 in arboriculture (or above)
Previous relevant experience in a commercial arboricultural consultancy
Membership of the Arboricultural Association or other related, professional body
Relevant tree survey experience within a consultancy or other commercial environment
Experience of undertaking tree hazard/condition surveys using Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) and development surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; be able to produce meticulous and accurate technical reports as well as communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders
Computer literacy with experience of using MS office tree survey software
Organisation skills with proven ability to multi-task
A full UK driving licence
A positive outlook and a strong desire to succeed.
