Dartmoor Tree Surgeons Ltd are an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor based in East Devon. We have a vacancy for an experienced and qualified lead climber capable of undertaking high quality tree works for a range of private and commercial clients within the South West.

Applicants must have:

• Relevant NPTC certifications (CS40 & CS41 preferred)
• Full driving licence (towing experience an advantage)
• The ability to work co-operatively within a team to a high standard, including willingness to help out on the ground when necessary
• A commitment to ongoing training and development
• Ideally we would look for an arborist with experience performing a range of arboricultural skills and techniques, such as crown reductions, rigging operations, crane work, large dismantles and dealing with windblown trees, however we are happy to help you develop these skills as necessary

A technical qualification to Level 3 or above would be an advantage but is not essential. Our team uses a two-rope system to climb so familiarity with this would be useful but again is something which we can help you to get up to speed with. 

This position is long-term and available from August 2025.

We do not undertake utility or railside contract works.
