Due to the progression of our business, we are looking for an arborist to join our team.

An individual to lead a team, who is passionate about the Arb Industry, excellent communications skills, engage with staff, build relations with existing and new clients and present themselves, their team and the business to the highest standards. 

As a Arborist team leader, your role will include supporting our Operations Manager, Managing Director and Operations Director in the day to day arboricultural operations.

This will include working at height and ground based tasks.

Completion of job risk assessments and method statements, ensuring that machinery and equipment is maintained to a high standard. PPE Checks and promote H&S awareness and precaution at all times.

As Arb Approved Contractors, Special Branch Tree Services N.E Ltd regulate under Industry Codes of Practice. Any individual interested in the role will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to fulfil the requirements of this role.

You will be working from our main office in Esh Winning.

Location: 

We are based 5 miles west of Durham in Deerness Valley close too Hedleyhope Nature reserve. Rent a new three bed house around here for around £1,000 per month or one of the older two bed terraces for as little as £550.

Preferred Skills

Applicants will need to have the following, although further training will be provided:

• Industry experience with a minimum of 3 years climbing
• Proven team Leader Experience, with the ability to organise, motivate and run a team.
• Industry qualifications, NPTC, First Aid (recently refreshed)
• Driving licence

Licence/Certification:

• NPTC Chainsaw Certificate (mandatory)
• NPTC Tree Climbing Certificate (mandatory)
• IPAF
• NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding
