About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual to join our team as an Estimator / Contracts Manager for our thriving Arboriculture business. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, driving the growth and success of our business, and quoting projects of all sizes, both commercial and residential. You will engage with clients and subcontractors throughout the projects to help deliver an efficient and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management: Lead teams of arborists, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery across all projects.
Compliance and Safety: Maintain and enforce the highest standards of safety and Arboricultural regulations across all operations.
Business Development: Work with the Management team to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
Pricing Jobs: Accurately price projects for customers, including both small and large-scale commercial and residential work. Ensure pricing is competitive and in line with company goals and market standards.

Preferred Skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar leadership role within a service provider organization or related field.
Strong knowledge of Arboriculture operations management, including procurement, inventory control, logistics, and customer service.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control principles.
Demonstrated experience in tree planting, weed treatment, stump grinding, and pricing work is highly advantageous for managing and overseeing field activities effectively.

Essential Skills:

Previous experience in the Arboriculture or Horticulture industry (including tree felling, climbing NTPC CS30/31/38/39, and environmental knowledge).
Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations.
Work planning and site organisation.
Full driving licence required, including HGV + trailer.
Excellent customer service & communication skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards within the Arboriculture industry.
