We are looking to recruit a fully qualified Climbing Arborist with at least 3 years of experience to join our highly regarded family business. The successful candidate will be joining one of the region's few ARB Approved contractors.

All our current team members are fully qualified arborists with minimum Level 3 Diploma in Arboriculture and between 4- and 18-years’ experience – but don’t let that scare you off; it makes for a great working environment!

We are looking for a new member to join our team who is friendly, passionate about delivering good tree work, doesn’t swear in front of clients or the public, and who has great attention to detail.

As a Climbing Arborist your role will be to support our team leaders and other team members in performing tree work, hedge work and some simple grounds maintenance tasks. The role is to work as part of a team, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards; in a safe, professional and efficient manner. You will ensure that equipment is maintained to a high standard, and that both staff and clients go home with a smile at the end of the day.

As a Climbing Arborist you will demonstrate a good knowledge of industry best practices and be suitably qualified for chainsaw work both on and off the ground, you must work well as part of a team, be able to understand and follow risk assessment & method statement documentation and be able to follow instructions of a team leader. You should have an awareness of the Arboricultural Association, and industry codes of practices including the AA’s published Technical Guides.

• Working Hours 7:45hrs – 16:45hrs (subject to seasonal changes)

Required Skills

• Full UK driving license
• NPTC Chainsaw, Maintenance & Felling refreshed within last 3 years
• NPTC Climbing & Aerial Rescue refreshed within last 3 years
• NPTC or LANTRA Woodchipper refreshed within last 3 years
• Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry refreshed within last 2 years

Preferred Skills

• Level 3+ Arboriculture qualification
• IOSH Managing Safely
• NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding
• IPAF 1b & 3b
