About the job

We are looking for an aspiring Surveyor and Estimator to join our business. You won't necessarily need to have experience in either field to date but a good operational knowledge of arboriculture operations (NPTC's) associated equipment and the ability to 'time tag' jobs and identify common tree species is essential, as well as a desire to learn and develop.

This is a customer facing role, so suits somebody who is extroverted, takes pride in their appearance and is an effective communicator both face to face and on the phone & in email.

It is a role well placed for a team leader or experienced arborist (or associated trade e.g horticulturalist) looking to take a side step from operational activities with aspirations of working towards arb technician or arb consultant status.

You will need to be passionate, enthusiastic, motivated & self disciplined and be able to work on your own remotely, sometimes in adverse weather.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Contracts Director (Tech Cert, Level 4) who will coach and develop you further and work with the applicant to tailor a training and development plan unique to the individual.

During this time you will complete all manner of surveying and estimating tasks, predominantly in the field of insurance (subsidence) and tree safety surveys and remedial works, progressing onto report writing and more demanding projects as and when appropriate.
