About the job

We are looking for a competent Tree Surgeon to join our dedicated and loyal team. You will be undertaking all aspects of tree care. We are looking for an experienced candidate with a clear understanding of how an Arb team works together.

We expect excellent communication skills and professionalism within the team and with customers.

Your work will be varied, interesting and challenging. We prioritise safety and efficiency by investing in the latest machinery and infrastructure so mechanical knowledge and the ability to maintain tools and equipment is important. The ability to keep work vehicles and trailers well maintained would be essential.

Experience in overseeing a team and in site management would be welcomed.

A love for being outdoors is essential - We work outdoors all year round in all weathers as long as it is safe to do so.

Preferred Skills

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

All applicants must be able to demonstrate a wide range of arboricultural skills and knowledge, from risk assessments/method statements to tree identification.

Essential Requirements

  • CSCS Level 1 Health & Safety Qualification or similar.
  • Full clean UK driving licence preferably with B + E class entitlement
  • First Aid + F qualification
  • Appropriate NPTC qualifications or equivalent
    • CS 30 / 20-03 -award in Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-cutting
    • CS31 / 20-04 – Award in Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm
  • Have relevant Arboricultural experience
  • Experience in overseeing a team and site management
  • A flexible attitude and prepared to work some very occasional weekends
  • A reliable team player
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to maintain tools and machinery
  • Able to provide a high level of Customer Service
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of Health and Safety

Desired Skills, Qualifications & Qualities

  • Equivalent qualification to Level 2 or 3 in Arboriculture
  • CS38 / 20-13 - Award in Aerial Rescue & Access a Tree with a Rope & Harness
  • NPTC or LANTRA Award Manually Fed Wood-chipper and Stump Grinder
  • Climbing experience - competently climb and prune trees and knowledge of dismantling operations
  • NRSWA Street Works Card (Signing, lighting and guarding)
  • CV & references
