We are looking for an experienced arboriculturist to help deliver our existing work in the Midlands and contribute to our ambition for growth in the region.
We are seeking a committed professional who can demonstrate the application of BS 5837 and tree risk assessment, and who takes a pro-active and positive approach to project leadership. We need someone who is versatile and experienced in collaborating with a range of other professionals; someone who enjoys developing professional relationships with clients, acting as the day-to-day contact, and who can be trusted to deliver high quality work.
The role sits within and is supported by our large team of
arboricultural consultants. It comes with the opportunity for
continued self-progression and managerial responsibilities for
the right candidate.
TEPs arboricultural team is weighted towards North of
England, but with a growing portfolio of projects in the Midlands and the South. This position provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to forge a pathway within the company under guidance and support from an established team, to develop our capacity in the Midlands.
You will be involved in the provision of BS 5837 surveys, risk
assessments and population management, with the opportunity to promote and develop these services. You will produce a suite of written and CAD based reports and drawings and work on projects that are shaping the UK’s housing, road, rail and energy infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

We would be interested to hear from applicants with level 5
qualifications (e.g. HND, FdSc) or above in arboriculture or
a related discipline and who are Chartered or eligible for
Chartership with the ICF.
LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector accreditation is
desirable but not essential.
Demonstrable experience of tree inspection and
management.
Have a working familiarity with BS 5837:2012 and
demonstrate a range of associated reporting.
Can demonstrate experience of project management skills
and experience of providing consistent, professional
advice with an ability to communicate effectively and work
collaboratively with colleagues, clients, planners and
consulting with regulators.
Experience in winning work with new clients or in new
markets.
Team management and/or mentoring experience is
desirable.
Competent to undertake CAVAT assessment. Experience
of other valuation systems is desirable.
Have used a range of Computerised Tree Management
Software
