About the jobCanford is seeking an experienced Arboriculturist to join the School’s friendly and hard-working grounds and gardening team responsible for maintaining the grounds of an impressive independent school estate in Dorset.
Working closely with the Grounds & Gardens Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the trees and various areas of parkland on site with duties including tree surveys, arboricultural work, clearance and pruning, maintaining records, preparing RPA calculations and submitting tree work planning applications.
Prior experience in a similar role is essential as is a tree inspection certificate, a strong theoretical and practical knowledge of arboriculture and the relevant NPTC qualifications. Applicants should be team players, have a flexible approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
