Job overview: We are seeking an experienced Climbing Arborists (Tree Surgeon) to join our friendly team. We need a ‘can do’, positive and hard-working person with the desire to deliver arboricultural works to exacting standards and go the extra mile for our clients. We’ll supply you with high quality equipment and all the right PPE to complete a professional job. 

You will be based at our Edinburgh depot delivering all aspects of tree works to clients throughout our operational area. A full driving licence is required due to the rural location of the depot.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various tree care tasks, including pruning and removals, adhering to industry standards and safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws and chippers
• Collaborate with team members to perform projects efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job reports and client communication.
• Uphold health and safety standards at all times, both for oneself, team members and the public.
• Continuously update knowledge on industry trends, best practices, and safety protocols.
• Represent the company in a professional manner, fostering positive relationships with clients and the community.

Preferred Skills

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tree Surgeon or Arborist.
• Arboriculture qualifications, including as a minimum (CS 30,31 & 38,39)
• Proficient in the use of arboricultural equipment and tools.
• Sound knowledge of tree species, health assessments, and proper pruning techniques.
• The ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Strong commitment to safety, with awareness of and adherence to industry standards.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may involve climbing, lifting, and prolonged outdoor activity.
• Valid driving licence
