Trainee Tree Surgeon Job - Horsham West Sussex 

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Utility Arborist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in the arboriculture industry, with full training provided. You’ll work alongside experienced arborists, learning essential skills in tree management, safety procedures, and the use of specialist equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting in tree cutting, pruning, and vegetation management near power lines

• Learning to operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and climbing equipment safely

• Following health and safety regulations and industry best practices

• Supporting qualified arborists in site assessments and hazard management

• Developing skills to work towards industry-recognized qualifications

Preferred Skills

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• A keen interest in arboriculture and working outdoors in all weather conditions

• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights

• A full UK driving licence (preferred)

• Any relevant experience or certifications (e.g., CS30/31, First Aid) is a plus but not essential
