Utility arborist team leader Job - Horsham, West Sussex

We are seeking experienced Utility Arborist Team Leaders to join our team. In this role, you will lead a 2-3 man team in maintaining vegetation around powerlines, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in all operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with strong arboricultural knowledge and a passion for safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of utility arborists in daily operations.

• Ensure safe and efficient vegetation management around electrical infrastructure.

• Conduct site assessments and identify potential hazards.

• Operate and maintain arborist equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and MEWP.

• Train and mentor team members, promoting a strong safety culture.

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.

NPTC

CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39,

UA1, UA2.1, UA2.2, UA2.3

Desired but not essential:

UA5, CS47 (or UA equivalent), C+E driving, SLAG
