We are looking to recruit an Experienced Team Leader/Lead Climber.

As an Experienced Team Leader/Lead Climber, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing our tree surgery operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of arborists, ensuring safe and efficient completion of work, and providing high-level technical expertise in climbing and tree care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of tree surgeons, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
• Safely carry out tree climbing, pruning, felling, and other tree surgery tasks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Provide guidance and support to junior climbers and ground staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Assess and manage risks on site, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met and maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Help with training and development of junior team members.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and ready for use

Preferred Skills

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead Climber or Senior Arborist in the tree surgery industry.
• NPTC qualifications (e.g., CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, etc.) and any additional certifications.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent climbing and tree surgery skills, with experience in a range of techniques.
• Full UK driving license (ideally with towing qualification).
• In-depth knowledge of tree care, health, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in challenging situations.
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• First Aid Certificate (desirable but not essential).
