About the job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surgeon to join Bardsey Tree Services. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for tree surgery and a strong understanding of tree care practices. As a Tree Surgeon, you will be responsible for the health and maintenance of trees, ensuring they are safe and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires proficiency in the use of various power and hand tools, as well as mechanical knowledge to effectively carry out tasks.

Duties

  • Perform tree pruning, felling, and shaping to maintain tree health and appearance.
  • Assess tree conditions and identify any potential hazards or diseases.
  • Use power tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders safely and effectively.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Carry out grounds keeping duties including the removal of debris and maintaining garden areas.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Educate clients on proper tree care practices and landscape maintenance.

Experience

  • Proven experience in tree surgery or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience using both power tools and hand tools safely in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems is an advantage.

Driving Licence (B + E an advantage)

Desirable ROLO CSCS card MEWP (NPTC or IPAF)
