Overview

We are looking for a competent experienced Arborist to join our dedicated and loyal team, who has a clear understanding of how an Arb team works efficiently together. We have been delivering 35 years of industry excellence and are looking to expand our tree team. Your work will be varied, interesting and challenging. We prioritise safety and efficiency by investing in the latest machinery and infrastructure so mechanical knowledge and the ability to maintain tools and equipment is important.

Duties:

• Teamwork and great communication.
• Perform tree maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and shaping.
• Operate power tools and equipment for tree care operations.
• Collaborate with other team members to create strategies on how to complete the work safely and efficiently.
• Problem solving.
• Reporting directly to management.
• General maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in arboriculture.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for tree care.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members.
• Polite and respectful when on a work site.
• Proficient in time management.
• Reliable team player.
• Demonstrate excellent health and safety knowledge.
• Forward thinker.
• Ability to work off your own initiative at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bury St. Edmunds, IP30 9QS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Preferred Skills

• CS 30 - Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-cutting.
• CS 31 - Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm.
• CS 38 - Aerial Rescue & Access a Tree with a Rope & Harness.
• CS39 - Use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness.
• NPTC or LANTRA Award Manually Fed Wood-chipper and Stump Grinder.
• CSCS Card (Preferred but not essential)
• IPAF Card (Preferred but not essential)
• Aerial pruning.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience with trucks and trailer towing.
