Grounds Person Wanted - Manchester Area

Alderwood Tree Care are looking to recruit a Groundsman to assist our small-knit team of arborists. Based from our Yard in Sale we cover all aspects of Tree Surgery for both domestic and commercial clients across Manchester, Salford, Cheshire, Stockport and beyond. Therefore candidates must have a full UK driver's license and own transport to be considered for this role

The role will include hedge trimming, tree pruning, wood chipping, tool maintenance and assisting with the rigging and removal of trees. Applicants should be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. 

Preferred Skills

Due to the nature of the role and insurance purposes, all applicants must have the following certifications:

• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
• City & Guilds NPTC City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Manually Fed Wood-chipper
