Arborist / Tree Climber Wanted - Grantham
About the job
We are looking for a competent arborist with comprehensive experience in all aspects of tree surgery. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using the latest climbing methods and spider lift to work at height. They will be able to achieve high-quality tree reductions and pruning, and tree felling and be comfortable with rigging techniques.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience within a tree surgery company is preferred. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of tree surgery practices and safety procedures. Excellent timekeeping, presentation, and enthusiasm are essential, as well as a willingness to work hard and occasionally on weekends.
The ideal candidate should be a good team player with a positive can-do attitude, willing to step in and help the entire team when needed. Work will be on a variety of different sites such as domestic gardens, public places, construction sites and forestry sites.
Job Details: This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime available and potential weekend work as needed.

- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 2, Tree Climbing and Rescue
- City & Guilds NPTC Level 3, Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques
- IPAF 1B MEWP certificate
- NPTC / Lantra woodchipper
- Arboricultural knowledge
- Clean full UK driving licence
- First Aid
Be willing to work as part of a team and take pride in their work.
Experience / interest in mechanised tree work would also be a benefit.
