About the job

Are you an enthusiastic, hard-working Arborist Supervisor / Team Leader? Do you have experience liaising with clients and motivating staff, maintaining high standards and achieving results on time. Are you looking for the next step up in your career?

Arborist Supervisor / Team Leader required for an established professional company in Lancashire. We are an Arb Approved Contractor, accredited with CHAS, Constructionline Gold and Trustmark. We are a Lancashire Trading Standards Safe Trader and on many Local Authority approved contractor lists.

We carry out a wide range of domestic and commercial tree work. We are a well-regarded company with a loyal client base and many regular clients that we have retained for many years.

We are a small, well equipped but friendly and efficient team and carry out work to the highest standards.

Preferably candidates would hold NPTC units 2003, 2004, 2007 & 2013 or equivalent as a minimum and have previous experience as a climber / team leader.

A formal qualification in arboriculture would be an advantage as would experience and certification in working with MEWPs.

Hours of work 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Enhanced overtime is paid.

Due to location of yard, your own transport is preferred as difficult to access on public transport.

Preferred Skills

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in a wide variety of tree work to include large trees, rigging and reduction work.
  • Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • NPTC units 2003, 2004, 2007 & 2013 or equivalent as a minimum
  • A minimum of 3 years Arboricultural experience
  • Wood chipper certification
  • Full UK Driving License

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Trailer license
  • Utility Arb qualifications
  • MEWP certification
  • Manual Handling certification
  • First Aid certification

We offer a good rate of pay negotiable upon qualifications and experience, 20 days holidays per annum (plus bank holidays), company pension scheme and provision of all equipment, PPE and climbing gear free of charge and other company benefits.

We will also consider a sub-contract only arrangement if preferable.
