We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to inspire and lead our team of arborists. As Contracts Manager you will be responsible for liaising with and developing good working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, local planning authorities and a range of suppliers. You will be in charge of arranging site visits to look at potential work, preparing and sending quotes to clients, preparing and submitting TPO applications/211 notices via the planning portal and arranging jobs with clients. You will also be responsible for organising the teams, ensuring all PUWER and LOLER records are completed, leading toolbox talks/staff meetings, monitoring the performance of the workforce and quality of output.

Preferred Skills

Essential skills required

• Previous experience in Arb industry (climber, groundsman, surveyor etc.)
• Able to specify and identify works to BS3998
• Good attitude towards and knowledge of Health & Safety
• Good understanding of risk assessments and method statements
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Efficient in organisation and planning
• Full UK driving license

We need an individual with experience in the industry but this may be a change of direction or step up off the tools or something else. Your personality is what we are looking to hire- the rest we can train.  

Benefits Offered

You will get 21 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. You will receive an extra day of annual leave for every full year worked after the first year of service.

We are always keen to do everything we can to help you develop and build on your current skills; to assist you with this you will be provided with an annual training budget of £1000.

Training and handover will be provided by the director and the outgoing Contracts Manager who is moving sideways into a consultancy role within the company.
