We are Arboricultural planning consultants based in Tadworth Surrey, working closely with major development clients and their architects.

We have a team of 7 staff including two AA Registered Consultant and 4 further fee earners. All roles are based at our offices, opposite Banstead commons, close to Reigate and J8 of the M25.

About the job

We are now looking to recruit a Trainee Arboricultural Surveyor/Technician to support our experienced team, which includes two AA Registered Consultants. The role, based from our offices in Tadworth, Surrey will provide a wide variety of work, the majority of which will be focused on pre-development tree surveying and reporting but also includes tree risk assessment surveys, veteran tree assessments, woodland surveys, aerial inspections, supervision and monitoring of new building works close to trees and the production of plans using AutoCAD. Sites range from single trees to large developments with 1000 + trees.

We offer regular training and CPD, pension contributions, a PPE budget and 20 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays).

Salary will be according to experience and qualifications and will be in the range of £25k to £28k pa progressing to £34k pa for a full Surveyor Technician. Start date would be as soon as possible, COVID-19 dependent, as the role will necessitate regular attendance at our Tadworth office.

Preferred Skills

Candidates should have a background of sound practical experience in tree contracting and would suit arborists or tree officers looking for a career move, or arboricultural graduates looking for a career in the private sector.

The role requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, IT literacy and a can-do attitude. A full, clean driving license is also essential. A level 3 or higher arboricultural qualification, PTI certification and CAD experience are all advantageous but full training will be offered for the right candidate.
