About the jobROAVR are looking for a new Arboricultural Consultant to join our nationwide expanding team.
You will be working from home and ideally be based in the Manchester/Sheffield/Birmingham/Leicester imaginary square to cover the middle of the country.
The main responsibility of the position is to work in the arboricultural team delivering technical projects from start to finish to support planning applications and tree risk surveys.
You will undertake field work, report preparation, report delivery, client liaison and attend client meetings.
ROAVR work nationwide for a wide range of clients from the Scottish Highlands’ to the south coast and across to Cornwall.

Initial training and induction will be done at our Inverness head office.
Preferred SkillsWhat do you need to bring to the table?
You need to have worked in arboricultural consultancy for at least two years specifically within planning.
It would be preferable for you to have a background in practical arboriculture but that is not essential.
You need to be an excellent communicator, no phone shy employees here!
It goes without saying that your report writing skills should be of the highest order with an eye for detail.
Experience with Google products is an advantage but not essential.
You must have an in-depth understanding of legislative and policy issues relating to arboriculture and the planning process.
You must hold an FdSc Arb, BSc or PDArb or higher in arboriculture or closely related field.
Hold the Lantra Professional Tree Inspection Certificate and be a member of the Arboricultural Association and/or Institute of Chartered Foresters.
You must have a full UK driving license, a van will be provided as part of the job.
You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of technical arboricultural reports and plans for a diverse range of clients.
