M&Y Maintenance and Construction is now recruiting an Arborist to work with our Grounds Maintenance team in Oldham.


About the role
The main purpose of this role is to assist with all aspects of tree work including pruning, felling and planting of trees whilst delivering advice to residents, colleagues and clients.
The ideal candidate will possess the following NPTC Units:
o CS30 Maintaining a Chainsaw
o CS31 Felling Small Trees
o CS38 Climbing Trees and Performing Aerial Rescue
o CS309 Aerial Chainsaw Use
The successful candidate will have the ability to work confidently at heights for long periods of time as well as the ability to use chainsaws, wood chippers and stump grinders and other relevant equipment associated with the job. You will be able to work efficiently and effectively both on your own and in a team whilst working within the Health and Safety at Work guidelines. You will be able to carry out routine machinery maintenance and show willingness to undertake training and development if required.
A basic DBS check and a full UK driving license is required for this post.
