Job Description

Heritage Tree Care has an exciting opportunity for a Climbing Arborist to join our team based in Sumner, Queensland. As part of our crew, you’ll work across council projects and various commercial sites throughout South East Queensland, including some of the region’s largest and most complex arboricultural projects.

About Your New Role

Your primary focus will be on tree climbing, pruning, removals, and aerial rescue in accordance with Australian standards. You’ll also assist with the safe and efficient use of rigging systems, operation of chippers and stump grinders, and general site setup and cleanup.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing tree pruning and removals using modern climbing and rigging techniques

• Operating chainsaws, chippers, and other arboricultural equipment

• Driving crews and equipment to and from site

• Upholding the highest safety standards and contributing to a positive team environment

Preferred Skills

What You Will Need to Exceed

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated arborist who takes pride in high-quality tree care, values teamwork, and works safely and efficiently in all conditions.

Essential:

• AQF Level 3 in Arboriculture (or currently completing)

• Demonstrated climbing experience using modern techniques

• Chainsaw operation experience

• Open Driver’s Licence & White Card

Desirable:

• MR Truck Licence

• Level 2 or above Traffic Control accreditation

• EWP ticket and/or first aid certification
