Arboricultural Consultant job in Chelmsford

The purpose of the Arboricultural Consultant is to deliver our tree services under the supervision of our Senior and Principal Arboricultural Consultants. We have a team of 12 tree specialists and a diverse workload that combines Tree Officer and Consultant functions. Our services include tree safety surveys, tree inventories, BS5837 surveys for planning, development management advice to Local Authority clients – TPO, Conservation Area and planning applications – subsidence investigation and veteran tree surveys.

Preferred Skills

The role requires a qualified, capable and experienced practitioner with good technical skills and knowledge, including legislation, policy, standards and guidance, as well as good client relationship, communication, commercial awareness and information management skills. Experience of Habitats Regulation Assessment would be an advantage.  This role would be most suited to somebody with previous experience of working as a local authority tree officer and/or in consultancy.
